What is a Living Link?

A Living Link is a Smart Room that can be updated after it has already been shared. The recipient keeps using the same public URL, while the uploader uses a private manage link to make changes.

Common use cases

• Send a client folder, then add a corrected version later.
• Replace a file without sending a new public URL.
• Disable preview after the recipient has already seen the file.
• Change expiration if the client needs more time.
• Close the room temporarily and reopen it later.

Manage link safety

The private manage link is powerful. Treat it like an admin key for that Smart Room. Save it somewhere private and send only the public Smart Room URL to recipients.
